Christopher Polvoorde is an American off-road racer who achieved a perfect seven-race sweep of the 2019 Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League Pro Lite Championship. A specialist in short course and desert racing, he is also a two-time Crandon Mod Kart World Champion and the 2019 Crandon Pro Lite World Champion.

Born on July 28, 2000, Polvoorde is a native of Southern California. Outside of his racing career, he is a full-time college student at the University of San Diego. Attending on a scholarship, he pursues a double major in finance and real estate through the USD School of Business.

Polvoorde began his competitive career in the Modified Kart Division of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS). This division is a recognized developmental category for off-road and pavement talent, including drivers such as Sheldon Creed, Hailie Deegan, and RJ Anderson. Polvoorde earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2014.

In 2015, he secured the LOORRS Mod Kart title and his first Crandon Mod Kart World Championship. He successfully defended the Crandon world title in 2016 and added the LOORRS Mod Kart Challenge Cup to his record that same year.

Polvoorde transitioned to the professional ranks in 2017, entering the LOORRS Pro Lite class. He was named Rookie of the Year in his debut season and followed this in 2018 with a third-place finish in the points standings and two race victories.

The 2019 season served as a definitive year for Polvoorde's short course program. Competing in the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League, he won every round of the seven-race schedule to claim the Pro Lite Championship. During the same season, he secured the Crandon Pro Lite World Championship. In 2020, the final year of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Polvoorde finished as the runner-up in the Pro Lite standings.

Throughout his professional career, Polvoorde has primarily operated under the Polvoorde Racing banner, driving the No. 94 STEEL-IT / TIS Wheels Ford Ranger. The program is supported by his father, Chip Polvoorde, crew chief Jimmy Davidson, and driving coach and spotter Cory Kruseman.

In 2019, Polvoorde was selected as a guest driver for Continental Tire’s flagship program in the Stadium Super Trucks Series. Driving the No. 100 truck at Road America in Wisconsin, he competed in Rounds 13, 14, and 15, recording competitive finishes in all three events.

In desert competition, Polvoorde participated in the 2020 King of the Hammers, an event described as the toughest one-day off-road race. Driving a factory-backed Team Honda Talon 1000R in the UTV event, he was one of only 33 competitors to finish the course out of 130 starters, placing 17th overall.

Polvoorde has diversified his racing portfolio across several disciplines:

Desert Racing: In 2018, he entered the National Off-Road Racing Association (NORRA) Mexican 1000 Rally. Driving a classic Ford F100 (No. 9494) in the Vintage Open Class, he finished second in his division and 24th overall with a time of 19 hours, 57 minutes, and 5 seconds. He also competed in the 2020 Mint 400.

Rally Raid: Polvoorde and co-driver Jimmy Davidson traveled to Inner Mongolia for the 2018 Asia Baja 1000. He qualified 15th out of 150 competitors and completed the stage rally event.

Dirt Track: In 2019, he joined Kruseman Motorsports for his first appearance at the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl. Driving the No. 94 midget car, he advanced to the C Feature 2 but did not finish.

Polvoorde’s racing program is supported by several major automotive partners, including Ford Performance, for whom he built two project vehicles for the 2019 SEMA Show. He is also backed by Honda Racing Corporation, General Tire, and Optima Batteries.

His career has been featured in various media formats. In 2019, he appeared on the Fuse television series T-Pain's School of Business, where he provided the host with a ride-along in a Pro Lite truck at Glen Helen Raceway. He also maintains a weekly YouTube vlog, launched in 2019, which documents his racing career and life as a student. In 2020, the University of San Diego News Center formally recognized his dual achievements as a professional athlete and business student.
