Dexter John Bean, born January 5, 1987, is an American professional stock car racing driver and crew chief. He finished third in the ARCA Menards Series standings in 2007, made a single NASCAR Cup Series start in 2009, and continues to compete part-time in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series. Bean last drove the No. 92 Chevrolet Camaro SS for DGM Racing in the Xfinity Series, and the No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado for Young's Motorsports in the Truck Series.

Bean was born in Westby, Wisconsin. His father, David Bean, used winnings from a gambling trip to Las Vegas to start BlackJack Racing, the team that would become central to Dexter’s early career.

Bean began his racing career in go-karts at the age of ten, transitioning to stock cars at sixteen with his family’s BlackJack Racing. He competed in late model competition at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway before moving to regional touring series, including the Wisconsin Challenge Series and the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Series Midwest Division. In 2005, he debuted in what was then the ARCA Re/Max Series, driving for Andy Hillenburg in the No. 10 Fast Track Racing Enterprises Pontiac.

Bean competed full-time in the ARCA Re/Max Series for three years, achieving his best points finish of third in the 2007 season while driving for BlackJack Racing. He also tested a Craftsman Truck Series truck for Germain Racing in 2007, but did not make any starts. In 2008, Bean drove the No. 37 Glock Chevrolet for Spraker Racing Enterprises, but dropped to eleventh in the ARCA points standings.

In 2009, Bean attempted to move to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with his family-owned team, aiming for Rookie of the Year honors. He qualified for the Pocono 500 at Pocono Raceway, starting 41st and finishing 36th, four laps behind race winner Tony Stewart. He failed to qualify for races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and Chicagoland Speedway that year. He also ran three Craftsman Truck Series races in 2009, with a best finish of 17th at The Milwaukee Mile.

After a five-year absence from NASCAR competition, Bean returned in 2015, driving the No. 92 for Mario Gosselin’s team in the Xfinity Series at Daytona. He replaced Martin Roy, who was injured in a skiing accident. Bean had previously driven for Gosselin’s team part-time in the Truck Series in 2009. In 2019, Bean returned to Xfinity competition at Road America, driving the DGM Racing No. 90 Chevrolet. On August 17, 2023, he announced he would attempt to qualify for the Truck Series race at Milwaukee, driving a No. 21 truck for BlackJack Racing, marking the team’s first NASCAR attempt since 2009. He subsequently drove the No. 02 Silverado for Young's Motorsports at the Milwaukee Mile on August 20, 2024.

Bean has type 1 diabetes. He is married to Misty McCrary, and they have three daughters: Marley Mae (born November 2013), Moxley Drew (born November 2015), and Maizley James (born November 2023). He is also the brother-in-law of Mario Gosselin, for whom he has driven in both the Truck and Xfinity Series.
