F1 24, officially EA Sports F1 24, is a racing video game developed by Codemasters and published by EA Sports, released on 31 May 2024. It is the seventeenth entry in the Codemasters F1 series and holds the official licence for the 2024 Formula One and Formula 2 championships. The game is notable for being the final F1 title released on eighth-generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), as the series moved to current-generation platforms only from F1 25 onward.

F1 24 introduced a revamped career mode in which players assume the roles of real Formula One drivers and build reputation across a season. In addition to the twenty active F1 drivers, players can race as Formula 2 competitors and retired legends. A new mid-race objectives system issued by team engineers and sponsors offers experience and rewards for in-race challenges, though this feature drew mixed responses from critics. The F1 World hub, first introduced in F1 23, was expanded further, and a new Fanzone mode allowed players to contribute points to support favourite teams and drivers in community competitions. Real voiceovers from active F1 drivers were added for the first time.

The Braking Point story mode, which had appeared in F1 2021 and F1 23, was absent from F1 24. Several drivers who substituted during the real 2024 season โ€” including Oliver Bearman, Franco Colapinto, Liam Lawson and Jack Doohan โ€” did not appear in the game, despite their real-world appearances for Carlos Sainz, Kevin Magnussen, Logan Sargeant, Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon at various rounds.

An announcement trailer was published on 27 February 2024 via EA Sports' official F1 YouTube channel. The game was built on Codemasters' Ego Engine, the same technology used by its predecessor. According to director Lee Mather, development emphasis was placed on the career mode and handling model, with relatively few changes made to AI behaviour or visual presentation. Ian Livingstone and Lapalux composed the soundtrack.

The standard edition released on 31 May 2024 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. A Champions Edition, released three days early on 28 May, featured cover art of Max Verstappen celebrating his grand chelem at the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix. The standard edition cover depicted Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris alongside their 2024 cars โ€” the Mercedes W15, Ferrari SF-24 and McLaren MCL38 โ€” the same three drivers featured on F1 23's cover. This marked the first title since F1 2018 to feature both drivers and their cars together on the cover art.

F1 24 received mixed or average reviews. Metacritic assigned a score of 72 out of 100, while OpenCritic recorded a 60% approval rating. Japanese publication Famitsu gave the game a cumulative score of 32 out of 40. Critics praised the revamped career mode and the expanded F1 World, but criticism was directed at the handling model, AI behaviour and slow-speed traction. The mid-race objectives were described by PC Gamer's Justin Towell as "uncharacteristically messy." IGN's Luke Reilly found the cars "surprisingly simple to tame," while The Guardian's Steve Boxer noted that tyre management demanded attention comparable to real-world driving.
