Fabien Foret (born 29 January 1973 in Angoulême, France) is a French professional motorcycle racer who spent the majority of his career in the Supersport World Championship, claiming the title in 2002. He has also competed extensively in the FIM Endurance World Championship, winning the Bol d'Or in 2015 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016.

Foret came through the French national motorcycle racing scene before making the step to international competition. After competing in French national championships for several years, he moved to the Supersport World Championship in 2000. That transition year yielded immediate success in endurance racing: he won both the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the prestigious Bol d'Or in his first season.

Foret's Supersport World Championship career ran through much of the 2000s. In 2001 he finished eighth in the championship with two race victories, also claiming second place at both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Bol d'Or endurance races — further demonstrating his ability to excel across different formats.

In 2002, riding for Ten Kate Honda, Foret won the Supersport World Championship, taking four race victories across the season. The Ten Kate team was among the most competitive Supersport operations of the era, and Foret's title remains the highlight of his sprint-racing career.

He continued in the Supersport World Championship through 2003, 2004, and 2005, finishing ninth, seventh, and fourth respectively, with one race win in each season — showing strong consistency even without mounting a full title challenge.

In 2006 Foret made a brief foray into the Superbike World Championship, the senior class, riding for Alstare Engineering Corona Extra Suzuki. However the move did not go well. After a difficult first half of the season he was replaced by Max Neukirchner. He returned to the Supersport World Championship before the season's end.

For 2007 Foret joined Kawasaki Gil Motor Sport and delivered a strong season, finishing third overall in the Supersport World Championship standings with one win, at the Philip Island opener in Australia.

In 2008 he joined the official Yamaha team managed by former Grand Prix racer Wilco Zeelenberg. The year started promisingly — Foret took pole position at the Losail circuit in Qatar, won at Monza, and finished fourth or better in each of the first six rounds. However a heavy crash at Brno caused him to miss several races, derailing what had been a championship-contending season.

Following his peak Supersport years, Foret became a prominent figure in the FIM Endurance World Championship, competing aboard Kawasaki machinery. He rode for Team Kawasaki SRC, one of the leading Kawasaki-backed endurance outfits.

In 2015 Foret won the Bol d'Or with Team Kawasaki SRC, one of the most celebrated events on the endurance calendar, held at the Circuit Paul Ricard. The following year, in 2016, he won the 24 Hour Endurance Race in Le Mans — another of the great classic endurance events — again with Team Kawasaki SRC.

These two victories bookended a sustained endurance career that ran alongside his later years of sprint-format competition. His success in both the Bol d'Or and Le Mans underlined a versatility and endurance-specific skill set that complemented his earlier Supersport championship credentials.

Fabien Foret is recognised as one of the leading French motorcycle racers of the 2000s and 2010s. His 2002 Supersport World Championship title with Ten Kate Honda stands as his most prominent individual achievement in sprint competition, while his FIM Endurance victories with Team Kawasaki SRC demonstrate longevity and adaptability across a career spanning over two decades at the international level.
