Goff entered the Renault Clio Cup UK in 2010 with Team Pyro after impressing in testing against race winner Dave Newsham. He remained in the series for 2011, taking his maiden victory at Oulton Park and adding a double win at Rockingham, though fifth in the championship was the best he could manage that season.
The 2012 season proved decisive. Goff was consistently inside the top five in the opening half of the year, taking wins at Brands Hatch and Donington Park to lead the title chase at the mid-season break. Rival Paul Rivett then took four consecutive wins at Snetterton and Rockingham to close the gap. The title came down to the final weekend at Brands Hatch: Rivett retired in the opening race, and Goff clinched the championship in the second race by nine points, completing his graduation from the junior touring car ladder.
Goff made his BTCC debut in 2013 with Team HARD, driving an NGTC Vauxhall Insignia for the RCIB Insurance Racing effort. His qualifying session at Brands Hatch was disrupted when he collided with a stationary Colin Turkington, leaving him to start from the back, but he went on to finish 17th in the Drivers Championship for the year.
In 2014 he began the season with Team BMR's Insignia before switching to a Volkswagen CC Passat from round six at Snetterton onward. He accumulated ten top-ten finishes across the year and improved to fourteenth in the standings.
Goff moved to Triple Eight Racing for 2015, competing under the MG 5 Star Cases Racing banner. His maiden BTCC win arrived in race three at Snetterton. He collected 21 top-ten finishes and four podiums in total over the season, finishing ninth in the championship โ his highest placing in the series.
Goff joined West Surrey Racing and the Team IHG Rewards Club BMW programme for 2016. He opened the season with a third-place finish at Brands Hatch and added a strong second at Knockhill behind Jason Plato. A difficult Rockingham weekend was the low point โ rain caused electrical problems for all three WSR cars in qualifying, and he could not finish either of the final two races. He finished eleventh in the championship.
Goff joined Eurotech Racing for 2017 and 2018, driving the Honda Civic Type R โ the first time in his BTCC career that he remained with the same team for a second consecutive full season. Both years were spent fighting in the midfield with independent-level resources.
Goff was without a confirmed seat going into 2019 before signing late with Tony Gilham's RCIB Insurance Racing team. The first half of the season yielded little, but at Silverstone in round nine an opportunistic strategy call changed his day. With conditions alternating between wet and dry, Goff dived into the pits for wet tyres at the last moment in race three while starting from the very back of the grid. He and Aiden Moffat made rapid progress through the field; Goff went on to lead the race from the front and take the victory โ delivering Tony Gilham's team their first-ever overall BTCC win.
Goff announced his retirement from the BTCC following the 2019 season.
Across seven BTCC seasons Goff demonstrated consistency and adaptability, cycling through a wide range of teams and machinery while scoring multiple podiums and two race victories. His 2019 Silverstone win, executed from last place on a strategy gamble, stands as the most dramatic moment of his career.
