Johan David Kristoffersson (born December 6, 1988) is a Swedish racecar driver and an eight-time World Rallycross Champion, having won the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. He secured a record-breaking 11 wins out of 12 events during the 2018 championship season. Kristoffersson is the son of Tommy Kristoffersson, a former racing driver and team owner of Kristoffersson Motorsport (KMS).

Kristoffersson began his racing career with his father's team, competing in the Junior Touring Car Championship in 2008, finishing fourth overall with two race wins in a Volkswagen. He progressed to the Swedish Touring Car Championship in 2009, driving for KMS, but did not score any points in the main series. He did, however, finish second in the Semcon Cup, a preparatory series.

In 2011, Kristoffersson's breakthrough came with Team Biogas.se in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, achieving three fourth-place finishes and a third-place at Ring Knutstorp, ultimately finishing tenth overall. In 2012, Kristoffersson competed in the Italian-based Touring Car Championship, Superstars Series, for Kristoffersson Motorsport under the name Audi Sport KMS. He took five titles in a single year – winning the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, and the Superstars Series across its Italian, International, and Rookie categories. In 2013, Kristoffersson drove a Porsche Panamera for Petri Corse in the Superstars Series and drove a family-run Volkswagen Scirocco at a European Rallycross Championship round.

Kristoffersson began part-time competition in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2014, driving a Kristofferson Volkswagen Polo and finishing third at Belgium. He continued in 2015, securing wins at Portugal and podium finishes in the UK, Spain, Turkey and Italy, finishing third in the overall standings. In 2016, a merger between KMS and Marklund’s Volkswagen factory teams saw Kristoffersson driving a Polo, finishing as runner-up in the Supercars overall standings behind Mattias Ekström with one win and nine top six finishes.

He achieved a record-breaking season in 2018, winning the WRX title with 11 wins from 12 events. In 2019, Kristoffersson switched to rallying, running a full-time campaign with Volkswagen in the Swedish Rally Championship with Kristoffersson Motorsport, using the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5.

In the 2011 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, Kristoffersson had a chance at the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia title, but lost it after receiving a penalty for a false start during the last race weekend. Despite winning the second race, Robin Rudholm’s lead in the overall driver’s championship was too large to overcome.

Kristoffersson also participated in Extreme E, joining Rosberg X Racing for the inaugural season alongside Molly Taylor. They won the Championship, tying with Team X44 on points but securing the title with more race wins. Kristoffersson re-signed with RXR for the 2022 Extreme E Championship, partnering with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky, and they won the first round of the season in Neom, Saudi Arabia.

Kristoffersson participated in the 2022 and 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship in a Kristoffersson Motorsport run Electric Volkswagen. He also competed in the World Touring Car Cup in 2019, partnering Mehdi Bennani and Rob Huff for Volkswagen.
