Loake began karting in 2016 at the Macclesfield Kart Club, competing primarily in the NatSKA championship. His most significant karting result was second place in the NatSKA Class 15 Junior Rotax Championship.
He entered car racing in the 2019 BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship, missing the opening round but still finishing second in the standings and winning twice at Anglesey. In 2020 he returned and swept the series entirely, winning all eight races he entered and taking the championship by 50 points over his nearest rival at Croft Circuit.
Loake joined the F4 British Championship with JHR Developments in 2021. He took three victories โ including a win in wet conditions at Thruxton on his debut weekend and a commanding performance at Oulton Park โ and finished sixth in the standings with 199 points. To gain mileage in the Tatuus F4-T421 chassis, he entered the Formula 4 UAE Championship at the start of 2022 without scoring points, then returned to the British series. Highlights of his 2022 campaign included a victory over McLaren junior Ugo Ugochukwu at Knockhill in the opening race and a double pole position plus race win at the final Brands Hatch round, also over Ugochukwu. He finished fifth in the championship with 271 points and four victories.
Loake moved to the GB3 Championship with JHR Developments in 2023. He announced himself at the opening round at Oulton Park by taking pole position, race victory and fastest lap โ a hat-trick โ and added a second hat-trick at Brands Hatch later in the season. He scored victories at Silverstone (twice), Oulton Park and Brands Hatch to accumulate 417 points. The championship was decided at the Donington Park finale, where a retirement in the third race ended his title bid; Callum Voisin took the championship, with Alex Dunne second and Loake third.
In December 2023 Loake was named the winner of the Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award, presented annually to the most promising young British racing driver. Among the prize components was a Formula One test drive, which he completed in the Aston Martin AMR22 at Silverstone in August 2024.
In 2024, Loake graduated to the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Rodin Motorsport. The season proved difficult in competitive terms; his best individual result was fifth in the Monaco sprint race and he finished 26th in the standings with 8 points.
Loake made his sportscar debut in 2025 in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, joining Garage 59 as part of McLaren's factory programme alongside Germans Benjamin Goethe and Marvin Kirchhofer. He also made an appearance in the USF Pro 2000 Championship in North America with Turn 3 Motorsport at Road America in June 2025. He continued with Garage 59 and the McLaren factory programme in the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.
