The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is a track-only hypercar produced by Lamborghini's Squadra Corse racing division. Introduced on July 29, 2020, it was positioned as the most powerful and the last purely naturally-aspirated car built by the brand at that time. Production of the Essenza SCV12 is limited to 40 units.

The Essenza SCV12 is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, similar to that in the Aventador SVJ, but rotated 180 degrees to accommodate a rear-mounted gearbox. This engine produces over 830 horsepower (830 PS; 820 hp) through a ram-air induction system, making it the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine developed by the company. Special exhaust tips are incorporated to reduce back pressure. The car features a 6-speed non-synchromesh sequential gearbox, which also serves as a stressed member of the chassis, supporting the rear pushrod suspension. It has a rear-wheel-drive layout. The Essenza SCV12 is 136 kg (300 lb) lighter than the Aventador SVJ and incorporates an FIA-approved carbon composite crash structure and a carbon fibre monocoque, which is the first to be homologated without the use of metal. The Essenza SCV12 is also the first car developed according to FIA prototype safety rules. The car boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 kg per hp.

The design of the Essenza SCV12 is heavily influenced by racing prototypes and is optimized for exclusive track use. Its aerodynamic profile generates over 1,200 kg (2,600 lb) of downforce at 250 km/h (155 mph), a figure comparable to a conventional GT3 racing car. A front splitter and a large rear wing contribute to this downforce. The hood is designed to manage airflow into a roof-mounted air snorkel, which cools the engine. Inspired by Huracán racing models, the Essenza SCV12 features dual-inlets and a center rib in the front hood. This design directs airflow to the ram-air roof scoop, increasing static air pressure in the engine’s intake manifold, a process termed "aerodynamic supercharging" by Lamborghini, which enhances airflow and increases power output as speed rises. The car is equipped with Brembo disk brakes and Pirelli racing slicks, with 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch magnesium wheels at the rear.

Production of the Essenza SCV12 is limited to 40 units. The car is not legal for road use and is intended for exclusive track days. Owners will have their cars stored in a dedicated hangar at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, with the ability to monitor them via an app linked to security cameras. Lamborghini allows customers to take delivery of their car upon request. Lamborghini is responsible for the maintenance and transportation of the cars to any FIA Grade 1 track globally. Customers can also receive coaching from Lamborghini racing drivers Emanuele Pirro and Marco Mapelli. Deliveries of the Essenza SCV12 commenced in December 2020. The car has not competed in any official motorsport championships.
