Doble began karting in childhood and competed in events such as the 2012 Super 1 National Super Cadet Championship, where he finished fifth. After his karting years he stepped away from motorsport entirely to pursue golf, playing full time for five years at county and collegiate level with professional ambitions.
He returned to racing in 2018, competing in the BRSCC BMW Compact Cup and remaining in that championship through 2022. In parallel he entered the Ginetta GT5 Challenge with Xentek Motorsport from 2021, finishing fourth in the Pro standings in his first year with two podiums.
Doble's breakthrough came in 2022, when he simultaneously contested the BMW Compact Cup and the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. In the Ginetta series, a late post-race penalty — a three-second infringement for passing under a yellow flag — initially demoted him from the championship lead, handing the title provisionally to Will Jenkins. Following a hearing before the Motorsport UK National Court, Doble was reinstated to second place in the relevant race and confirmed as champion. He also won the BMW Compact Cup that year.
Doble made his BTCC debut in 2023 with CarStore Power Maxed Racing alongside Árón Taylor-Smith and Andrew Watson, eligible from the outset for the Jack Sears Trophy for independent teams. At the ninth round at Silverstone he became the only non-Napa Racing driver to take pole position during the season.
Retained by Power Maxed Racing for 2024 under the Evans Halshaw banner, Doble produced a breakthrough campaign. He scored Jack Sears Trophy class podiums in every one of the nineteen rounds and swept all three class wins at Oulton Park in a single weekend. In the final race of that meeting he led for much of the running before being passed on the closing lap by eventual Drivers' Champion Jake Hill, finishing second overall and missing a maiden outright BTCC victory by 0.749 seconds. Doble was confirmed Jack Sears Trophy champion at the end of the season, winning approximately half the season's class races and finishing twelfth in the overall Drivers' Championship with 148 points.
Doble continued with Power Maxed Racing, trading as Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing for 2025. On 25 May at Snetterton he took his maiden BTCC race victory in the third race of the weekend, holding off four-time champion Ashley Sutton from a reverse-grid pole position — Power Maxed Racing's first outright win since 2019.
Mid-season a fire at the team's headquarters destroyed their racecars and equipment, forcing Doble and his teammates to switch from the Vauxhall Astra to a loaned Cupra Leon for the final four rounds from Knockhill onward. Despite the disruption Doble finished runner-up in the Independent Drivers' Championship, losing the title to Daniel Lloyd of Restart Racing by four points with the fight going to the final race at Brands Hatch. He ended the year eighteenth in the overall standings with 100 points.
For 2026 Doble remained with Power Maxed Racing under the LKQ Euro Car Parts banner, now driving the team's all-new Audi S3 Saloon alongside Aiden Moffat. At the season opener at Donington Park he won the Independent class in the inaugural Qualifying Race before inheriting an outright race victory in Race One when on-track winner Tom Ingram was disqualified for an overboost infringement.
Doble is a third-generation racing driver. His father, Mike, is a former driver who raced alongside him in the BMW Compact Cup, and his grandfather Mick also competed. The family operates Doble Motorcycles, a Honda dealership based in Coulsdon, Surrey, established in 1967 by Mike Doble Sr. and his brother Chris. Doble's younger brother Isaac is also a racing driver, contesting the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship in 2025 before moving up to the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy for 2026.
