Oliver Solberg (born 23 September 2001) is a Swedish-Norwegian rally driver who competes in the World Rally Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT under the Swedish flag. The son of 2003 World Rally Champion Petter Solberg and WRC Commission president Pernilla Solberg, he became the 2025 WRC2 Champion alongside co-driver Elliott Edmondson and claimed his maiden WRC overall victory at the 2025 Rally Estonia.

Solberg attended his first WRC event before his first birthday, watching his father compete at the 2002 Cyprus Rally. His grandfather and uncle are also experienced rally drivers. Though motorsport was not a predetermined path — his parents encouraged him to try football, ice hockey, and other sports — he committed to racing by around age eight when he began competing in crosskarting. Over the following years, he won multiple Norwegian and Nordic Crosskart Championships.

Solberg started his professional rally career in 2017 at fifteen. Due to age restrictions that prevented him from driving road sections, he contested the Latvian Rally Championship where his co-driver Veronica Engan swapped seats between stages for the transit sections. His debut rally was Rally Alūksne in a Peugeot 208 R2, where he finished second in class; he ended the year with two wins.

In 2018, competing again in the Latvian Rally Championship, he finished second in the LRC3 and U28 categories behind European champion Mārtiņš Sesks. That year he also claimed the RallyX Nordic Championship title, winning three events overall.

Solberg moved to R5 machinery for 2019, winning five consecutive Latvian Rally Championship events and taking the overall title in a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. One of those rounds, Rally Liepāja, counted for the European Rally Championship, meaning Solberg won on his ERC debut against full international competition.

He also drove six rounds of the American Rally Championship for Subaru USA, winning three events including on his second outing at the Olympus Rally. His WRC debut came at the 2019 Wales Rally GB in a Polo GTI R5 — the same event at which his father made his final WRC appearance, signing off with a WRC2 class victory.

With a partial WRC campaign using his own VW Polo R5 and a Skoda, Solberg won the Rally Sweden Lockdown event and took the WRC3 class win at Rally Estonia as the championship restarted after the COVID-19 pause. He also won Rally Liepāja in the ERC for the second consecutive year and claimed a podium on his first full tarmac ERC event. These results earned him the 2020 FIA ERC1 Junior Championship title.

Solberg joined Hyundai Motorsport for 2021 with a plan for a full WRC-2 season, but was unexpectedly elevated to the top-level Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC for the Arctic Rally Finland after just one WRC-2 start at Monte Carlo. He finished seventh overall with multiple top-four stage times. He returned to the World Rally Car for the season finale at Rally Monza, finishing fifth overall.

In 2022, Solberg served as Hyundai Motorsport's third driver, sharing a seat with Dani Sordo across selected top-level WRC rounds. His best result of the season was fourth at the Ypres Rally. Hyundai and Solberg parted ways at the end of the season.

Solberg contested a full 2023 WRC2 season with the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 for Toksport WRT, taking two class victories including at Rally Chile and finishing sixth in the standings. He remained with the same combination in 2024, winning three events and taking the WRC2 championship battle to the final round at Rally Japan against eventual champion Sami Pajari. A crash at Rally Portugal and a puncture at Rally Chile ultimately cost Solberg the title despite him winning more WRC2 stages than any other driver in 2024. He finished the year as WRC2 runner-up.

Parting ways with Skoda and Toksport, Solberg announced in December 2024 that he would join Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT and Printsport for 2025, driving the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 in a full WRC2 campaign. At Rally Estonia, Solberg was given the opportunity to drive the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 at the top level for the first time since the 2022 Rally New Zealand. He won nine stages and dominated the event to take his maiden WRC overall victory. He also won three WRC2 events from five starts in the 2025 season. He and co-driver Elliott Edmondson claimed the 2025 WRC2 Championship title.

Alongside his rally career, Solberg returned to rallycross for the 2018 RallyX Nordic Championship, driving his father's 600bhp FIA World Rallycross Championship-winning DS3. He won three events and claimed the championship. A 2020 guest appearance in the Euro RX round at Höljes ended in a controversial disqualification for an overweight car after finishing first on track.

Solberg is the son of Petter Solberg and Pernilla Solberg (née Walfridsson), who is also a former successful rally driver and president of the WRC Commission. His uncle Henning Solberg, cousin Oscar Solberg, and grandparents have all been active in motorsport. He lives in Gunnarskog, Sweden. His early career was the subject of the 2019 Norwegian film Born2Drive. In 2024, he joined Lando Norris' Quadrant Athlete program alongside several other international athletes.
