Holbrook grew up in Groveland, Florida, developing an interest in motorsport after attending Richard Petty's Driving Experience. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in communication, with a minor in marketing, from the University of Central Florida in 2012. That academic grounding in communication and marketing would later inform her off-track career in experiential automotive programs, television, and corporate partnerships.
Holbrook entered professional motorsport through the Sports Car Club of America in 2010, placing sixth in the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Touring Car Championship in her first season. She progressed steadily through the Pirelli World Challenge ladder over the following years, with her breakout moment arriving at the 2011 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, where she claimed first place in the Touring Car class — the first female driver to win a Touring Car race in the series and one of only four women ever to win at Long Beach.
She continued competing in the Pirelli World Challenge through much of the 2010s, collecting a series of top-five and top-ten finishes. Her results included fourth place in the Touring Car A Championship in 2014, top-five finishes in 2016, and two top-five results in the North American Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series in 2017. Holbrook received her first taste of European-based international motorsport when she qualified for the inaugural 2019 W Series, a Formula 3 championship exclusively for women. Away from conventional circuit racing, Holbrook participated in two world-record paced bicycle land speed attempts at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats alongside Denise Mueller-Korenek. In 2016, she served as the pace vehicle driver when Mueller-Korenek set a women's world record for the fastest speed on a paced bicycle at 147.75 mph — the first woman ever to attempt the mark officially. In 2018, the two collaborated again, with Holbrook drafting Mueller-Korenek to a new overall world record of 183.932 mph (296.010 km/h). The official record belongs to Mueller-Korenek as the cyclist; Holbrook's role as the support driver was integral to both achievements.
Among her recognized honors, Holbrook received the Women's Sports Foundation's Project Podium Grant in 2014 and was named "Living Legend Honoree" in 2012 for her contributions both on and off the track. She appeared in the "Women in Motorsports" exhibit at the SuperCars Super Show and received media coverage including features in Teen Vogue and Jalopnik.
