Creventic is a Dutch motorsport management agency whose stated aims include low-cost access, a welcoming environment for teams and drivers from across the world, and competitive fairness on track. In cooperation with the Dutch National Racing Team, one of the largest motorsport organisations in the Benelux region, Creventic organised the inaugural Dubai 24 Hour in 2006. That event, held at the Dubai Autodrome, established the template that would define the series: long-format endurance racing with mixed-class grids open to amateur and professional crews alike.
In 2008, Creventic added a second event — the 12H Hungary at the Hungaroring — creating the first multi-race season and marking the formal beginning of the 24H Series as a championship structure. Through the following years, additional circuits and events were incorporated gradually, expanding the calendar across Europe and into the Middle East.
The 2015 season represented a significant milestone: official FIA International Series status was granted, allowing drivers and teams to compete for formal championship titles and accumulate points. From that point, the series has been known in successive incarnations as the 24H Series, the 24H GT Series, and back to the 24H Series as the category mix evolved.
The championship format places GT3 cars at the front of the competitive hierarchy, with overall and class titles awarded across the multiple-race calendar. GT4 machinery and sports cars run in separate classes, making the overall grid wide in variation but structured in its competitive categories.
The 24H Series has used a large number of circuits since its formation, reflecting Creventic's strategy of building a truly international calendar. Permanent fixtures have included the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Mugello Circuit, and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Europe, as well as the Dubai Autodrome in the Middle East, which hosted the flagship Dubai 24 Hour for the majority of the series' history until 2022.
Other venues that have hosted rounds include the Algarve International Circuit, the Hungaroring, the Nürburgring, Silverstone Circuit, Circuit Paul Ricard, the Red Bull Ring, Circuit of the Americas, and the Yas Marina Circuit. The breadth of this list reflects an ambition to visit a wide range of motorsport venues across different continents rather than anchoring the calendar to a fixed rotation.
Creventic also operates the 24H TCE Series, a separate touring car endurance championship. The 24H Series itself is distinct from the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the GT World Challenge Europe, both of which occupy different commercial and regulatory positions within the GT3 endurance landscape, though cars and teams frequently appear in multiple series throughout a season.
The Dubai 24 Hour has been the most prominent individual event in the 24H Series portfolio, drawing large international entries and acting as an early-season marker for GT3 teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The 24H Series' blend of GT3, GT4, and mixed-class endurance racing closely mirrors the format that several simulation titles target. GT3 machinery featured in the series, including cars from Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, Porsche, and Audi, appears in Assetto Corsa Competizione and iRacing. Several circuits from the 24H Series calendar — Spa-Francorchamps, Mugello, Barcelona, and the Nürburgring — are also core sim-racing venues, making the championship a natural reference for endurance simulation experiences.
