Colnaghi was born on 26 July 2008. He has two brothers, though further details regarding his siblings or family background are not documented. Originally competing under an Italian identity, he elected to switch to an Argentine racing license for the 2026 season.
Colnaghi began his karting career in 2020, finishing seventh in the Easykart 60 category of the Trofeo Italiano Easykart. By 2022, he moved to the OK Junior category with Forza Racing, placing 12th in the 50° Trofeo delle Industrie and 26th in his CIK-FIA World Championship debut. In 2023, he progressed to the OK category, where he finished 15th in the CIK-FIA European Championship and secured a sixth-place finish in the CIK-FIA World Championship while driving for CRG.
His transition to single-seaters followed his victory in the Richard Mille Young Talent Shootout. This success led to his debut in the 2024 Formula Winter Series with MP Motorsport. During the first round at Jerez, he finished seventh in his first race and repeated that result in the third race of the weekend. His campaign concluded with an eighth-place finish at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, placing him 18th in the drivers' championship with 16 points.
Colnaghi’s 2024 campaign in the F4 Spanish Championship served as his primary breakthrough. Driving for MP Motorsport, he initially struggled, securing only one eighth-place finish in the opening round despite taking pole position for the third race. His season pivoted at Paul Ricard, where he claimed a double victory. Consistent double podiums in the subsequent two rounds kept him in title contention.
In the latter stages of the season, Colnaghi achieved four wins across five races held at Jerez and Barcelona. This run allowed him to overtake Keanu Al Azhari for the championship lead. By finishing fifth in the final race of the season, Colnaghi secured the title by a ten-point margin. He was the first rookie to win the Spanish F4 title since Nikola Tsolov in 2022.
In 2025, Colnaghi moved up to Eurocup-3 with MP Motorsport and won the championship. During this season, in August 2025, he was formally inducted into the Red Bull Junior Team.
During the 2024 Formula Regional World Cup at the Macau Grand Prix, Colnaghi made his debut in Formula Regional machinery. His race ended prematurely due to a crash at the conclusion of lap 13. Despite the retirement, he was classified 14th overall as he had completed 85% of the total race distance.
Colnaghi's early career is defined by a rapid ascent through the junior formulae, specifically within the MP Motorsport structure. His 2024 F4 Spanish Championship title was built on a late-season surge featuring four wins in five races. Statistically, his move to an Argentine license in 2026 marked a shift in his professional representation as he entered the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
While primarily focused on single-seaters, Colnaghi’s experience includes a one-off appearance in the Formula Regional World Cup in 2024. His 2025 season was dedicated to Eurocup-3, where he secured the title before his promotion to the international FIA Formula 3 stage in 2026.
