Ryan Tuerck, born April 10, 1985, is an American professional drifter who has competed in the Formula Drift series since 2005. He achieved a third-place overall finish in the 2022 Formula Drift Championship with 573 points, securing a first-place finish at the Streets of Long Beach and a second-place finish at Irwindale. Tuerck also finished third overall in the 2020 Formula Drift Championship with 484 points, earning a win at the Showdown event in Texas. He currently drives the RainX Toyota Corolla Hatchback for Papadakis Racing.

Ryan Tuerck is a native of Derry, New Hampshire. His motorsport career began on two wheels, with his father purchasing him a dirt bike at the age of nine. By ten years old, he was racing motocross, achieving minor success. He earned his professional license from the American Motocross Association (AMA) at age sixteen and competed in the Canadian Nationals at seventeen, finishing fifth in the 125cc Canadian Nationals Championship and qualifying for Budds Creek and Unadilla in the AMA Motocross Nationals.

In 2003, Tuerck participated in his first formal competition at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey, where he met Tony Angelo, Chris Forsberg, and Vaughn Gittin Jr., who would later become his “Drift Alliance” teammates. He won his first formal competition at this event. Prior to joining Formula D, Tuerck competed in the Drift Mania Canadian Championship. He began competing in Formula Drift in 2005, participating in two rounds and gaining attention from sponsors. He completed a full Formula Drift season in 2006.

In 2007, Tuerck finished 15th in the Formula Drift championship. He was picked up by Gardella Racing in 2008, driving a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP sponsored by Gardella Racing, Mobil 1, GM Racing, and Maxxis Tires. The following year, 2009, saw Tuerck achieve a second-place overall finish in the Formula Drift championship with 521 points, winning at both Long Beach and Irwindale. In 2010, he finished third overall with 515 points, earning second-place finishes at Evergreen Speedway and The Wall.

In 2012, Tuerck finished fifth in the Formula Drift championship with 465.50 points, including a third-place finish at Irwindale and earning the “Best Style Award.” He achieved another third-place finish in the championship in 2020. In 2022, driving for Papadakis Racing, he secured another third-place overall finish in the Formula Drift Championship.

At the 2022 Formula Drift season opener at Long Beach, Tuerck finished first. In 2009, he won at both Long Beach and Irwindale. He also secured a first-place finish at the Showdown event in Texas during the 2020 season.

Tuerck is involved in several notable projects outside of Formula Drift. These include the YouTube series Tuerck’d, Network A’s Drift Garage, and the Gumout Blackout series. His build series on a Ferrari engine-swapped Toyota 86, known as the Toyota GT4586, has generated nearly 70 million impressions since its 2016 launch. He also participates in a drifting group called "Blood Masters" based in Englishtown, New Jersey.

He drives the Papadakis Racing Toyota Corolla Hatchback Demo Car, recently featured at the Gridlife Alpine Horizon Festival, and is currently working on an "East Coast" Toyota 86, originally the "$25k Baja 86." Additionally, Tuerck is developing the "Formula Supra," a Toyota GR Supra powered by a V10 Judd engine, designed for hill climb and time attack events. As of 2021, Tuerck was living in Los Angeles, having moved from his native New Hampshire.
