At the season opener in Bahrain, Albon qualified 15th and finished 10th, scoring the team's first point of the season. Sargeant qualified 16th and finished 12th. Williams left Bahrain 6th in the Constructors' Championship with 1 point.
In Jeddah, Sargeant failed to set a qualifying time but was permitted to race, finishing 16th. Albon qualified 17th but retired on lap 28 due to brake failure. Williams dropped to 9th in the championship.
The Australian Grand Prix saw Albon qualify 8th, running in 6th before a heavy crash on lap 7 brought out a red flag. Sargeant qualified 18th and crashed into Nyck de Vries at Turn 1 after a late red flag restart, taking both drivers out of the race. Williams fell to 10th in the Constructors' Championship.
For the first sprint race of the season in Baku, Albon qualified 13th for the main race and 7th for the sprint. Sargeant qualified 15th for the main race but crashed heavily in SQ1, forcing the team to withdraw him from the sprint. Albon finished 9th in the sprint and 12th in the main race. Sargeant finished 16th in the main race. Williams remained at the bottom of the Constructors' Championship.
At the Miami Grand Prix, Albon qualified 11th and finished 14th. Sargeant qualified 20th and finished 20th. In Monaco, Albon qualified 13th and finished 14th. Sargeant qualified 16th but damage from a lap 1 collision with Nico Hülkenberg led to him finishing 18th.
Qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix was challenging, with Albon 18th and Sargeant 20th. They finished 16th and 20th respectively.
The Canadian Grand Prix saw Albon qualify 10th and finish 7th, holding off faster cars on old hard tyres. He received the Driver of the Day award. Sargeant qualified 19th but retired on lap 6 due to an oil leak. Albon's 7th place moved Williams to 9th in the Constructors' Championship with 7 points.
In Austria, Albon qualified 10th for the main race and 11th for the sprint, finishing 11th and 13th respectively. Sargeant qualified 18th for the main race and 20th for the sprint, finishing 13th and 18th.
At the team's home race at Silverstone, Albon qualified 8th and finished 8th, overtaking two Ferraris late in the race. Sargeant qualified 14th and finished 11th, just outside the points.
After the first ten races, Williams was 8th in the Constructors' Championship with 11 points, level with Haas but behind on countback. Albon was 13th in the Drivers' Championship with 11 points, while Sargeant was 19th with 0 points.
At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Albon qualified 16th and finished 11th. Sargeant qualified 20th and retired on lap 67 after a spin. Qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix was disappointing, with Albon 16th and Sargeant 18th for the main race. Albon finished 14th in the main race and 12th in the sprint, while Sargeant finished 17th in the main race and 16th in the sprint. Williams entered the summer break 8th in the Constructors' Championship.
Both cars reached Q3 at Zandvoort, the team's first double Q3 appearance in 2023. Sargeant crashed in Q3, starting 10th, his first top-10 qualifying. Albon qualified 4th. Sargeant crashed out of the race on lap 16 due to hydraulic failure. Albon finished 8th, moving Williams to 7th in the Constructors' Championship, 4 points ahead of Haas.
At the Italian Grand Prix, Albon qualified 6th and finished 7th, defending against drivers like Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri. Sargeant qualified 15th, was running 11th but received a penalty for colliding with Valtteri Bottas, dropping him to 13th. Williams extended their lead over Haas to 10 points.
In Singapore, Sargeant qualified 18th and finished 14th after hitting the wall and damaging his front wing. Albon qualified 14th and was running in the top 10 until Sergio Pérez hit him, damaging his car and costing him a potential 10th place, finishing 12th. Albon expressed frustration with Pérez after the race.
Sargeant crashed in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix, requiring a chassis rebuild and forcing him to start from the pit lane with a ten-second penalty. Albon qualified 13th but sustained damage at the start after being pushed onto the grass by Bottas, leading to his retirement. Sargeant also retired due to damage from a collision with Bottas on lap 5. Williams left Japan 7th in the Constructors' Championship with 21 points, all scored by Albon.

However, after Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified for plank wear, Albon was classified 9th and Sargeant 10th. Sargeant's 10th place marked his first career point and the first points for an American driver since Michael Andretti at the 1993 Italian Grand Prix. Williams left Austin 7th in the Constructors' Championship with 26 points.

At the start of the main race, Albon collided with Nico Hülkenberg, sending both Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen into the barrier, causing a red flag and Albon's retirement. Sargeant finished 11th. AlphaTauri was now 7 points behind Williams with two races remaining.
For the first Las Vegas Grand Prix, both cars made it into Q3, with Albon qualifying 6th and Sargeant 7th. However, in the race, Albon finished 12th and Sargeant 16th. AlphaTauri did not score, maintaining the 7-point gap.
At the season finale in Abu Dhabi, Albon qualified 14th and finished 14th. Sargeant failed to set a qualifying time due to track limits, starting 20th and finishing 16th. Albon became the first driver since Max Verstappen in 2020 to outqualify his teammate at every race during a season. Williams finished 2023 7th in the Constructors' Championship with 28 points, 3 places higher than in 2022.
